Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Evaluations

At Focus & Flourish Behavioral Health, we understand that for some individuals, an emotional support animal can play an important role in mental health and recovery.

We offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to determine whether an ESA is an appropriate part of your treatment plan. If clinically indicated, we provide documentation that meets federal housing requirements (Fair Housing Act) and is consistent with Arizona law.

Important Notes:

• An ESA evaluation includes a full psychiatric assessment.

• Documentation is provided only if a qualifying mental health condition is diagnosed and an ESA is determined to provide therapeutic benefit.

• ESA letters are not guaranteed and are issued solely at the provider’s clinical discretion.

• ESA letters do not grant public-access rights under the ADA, but may support reasonable housing accommodations.
