Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Evaluations

At Focus & Flourish Behavioral Health, I understand that for some individuals, an emotional support animal can play an important role in mental health and recovery.

I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to determine whether an ESA is an appropriate part of your treatment plan. If clinically indicated, I provide documentation that meets federal housing requirements (Fair Housing Act). ESA evaluations are billed as a standard psychiatric evaluation.

Important Notes:

• An ESA evaluation includes a full psychiatric assessment.

• Documentation is provided only if a qualifying mental health condition is diagnosed and an ESA is determined to provide therapeutic benefit.

• ESA letters are not guaranteed and are issued solely at the provider's clinical discretion.

• ESA letters do not grant public-access rights under the ADA, but may support reasonable housing accommodations.
